To install Websphere Portal Server 6.1, follow the steps bellow:
The installation was tested over CentOS Release 5.2 inside a Guest VM in XEN with 2 GB of RAM.
1. With install CD or unzip the files and run the command <localarquivos>/IL-Setup/install.sh
2. The wizard shows the Welcome screen, click in Next
3. Select the option I accept the terms in license agreement and click in Next
4. Select the Full instalation and click in Next
5. Define the location o websphere or let the default value and click in Next
6. Define the Node Name and the Host Name (FQDN), here:
Node Name: wps1 Host Name: wps1.empresax.com.br or wps1.mycompany.com
and click in Next
7. Define the Administrator username and password, here:
usuário: wpsadmin senha: <Replace With your Password Here>
and click in Next
8. Check the settings and click in Next
9. In the Last Screen, check for install , and click in Finish
