If many photos are attached go IBM Maximo, the DOCLINKS folder can quickly consume large amounts of disk space.

You can resize JPEG files using ImageMagick on Linux.

Procedure

1) Install ImageMagick

dnf install -y ImageMagick

2) Run image magic

 
cd /opt/IBM/SMP/maximo/doclinks

find . -type f \( -iname "*.jpg" \) -exec mogrify -resize 1920x1920\> {} \; 


  • Important:
  • Resizes images larger than 1920x1920.
  • Keeps original file names.
  • No database updates required in IBM Maximo.
