Install Tivoli Storage Manager on Linux

In this 4 article series, i will be showing how to install IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) 5.4 on Linux.

The installation was tested over CentOS Release 5 and OpenSUSE 10.1 inside a Guest VM in VMWare with 1 GB of RAM.

Obs.: Other versions had been tested, with similar problems, that had been solved with the steps bellow.

TSM 5.4 is composed of the following products:

1) IBM Integrated Solution Console 6.0.1.1 (ISC)

2) Administration Center

3) Tivoli Storage Manager Server

Install Procedure

Step 1: TSM:Preinstall_Tasks_for_Linux - !!! Very Important !!!

Step 2: Install IBM Integrated Solution Console 6.0.1.1 (ISC)

Step 3: Install Administration Center

Step 4: Install Tivoli Storage Manager Server
